Description: CSDT has discovered some vulnerabilities in Web Wiz Forum, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site request forgery and cross-site scripting attacks.
1) Input passed to the "mode" parameter in admin_group_details.asp and admin_category_details.asp is not properly sanitised before being returned to a user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
2) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any validity checks to verify the request. This can be exploited to e.g. change the administrator password by enticing a logged-in administrator to visit a malicious site.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 9.61 and reported in 9.5. Other versions may also be affected.
