Description: crit3rion has reported a vulnerability in Xerox Phaser 8400, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the processing of empty UDP packets received on port 1900 and can be exploited to reboot an affected device.
The vulnerability is reported in firmware version 03/03/2004. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Use Xerox Phaser 8400 in trusted networks only.
