Krystian Kloskowski has discovered a vulnerability in FlashGet, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the processing of FTP PWD responses. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by tricking a user into connecting to a malicious FTP server.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 126.96.36.1992. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Do not connect to untrusted FTP servers.
