HP has acknowledged a vulnerability in HP OpenVMS TCP/IP Services, which can be exploited by malicious people to poison the DNS cache.

The vulnerability is reported in the following products when running BIND:
* HP Alpha running TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS v 5.4 ECO 7
* HP Integrity and HP Alpha running TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS v 5.5 ECO 3
* HP Integrity and HP Alpha running TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS v 5.6 ECO 2


Solution:
Apply ERP Kits or update to HP OpenVMS TCP/IP Services v 5.6 ECO 3 when available.
