Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in EchoVNC for Linux, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the "CLogger::WriteFormated()" function in echoware/Logger.cpp. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by tricking the user into connecting to an Echo server that returns an overly large group or user list.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 1.1.2.
