A vulnerability has been reported in Sun Java System Portal Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed via unspecified parameters to Portlets included in the application is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 7.0 and 7.1 for Linux and Solaris 8, 9, and 10 for both the SPARC and x86 platforms.
