Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Xen, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially bypass certain security restrictions.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error when processing the "flask_op" hypercall. This can be exploited by DomU users to cause a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code with Dom0 privileges.

Successful exploitation requires that Xen is compiled with support for the "XSM:FLASK" module.

The vulnerability is reported in version 3.3. Other versions may also be affected.
