Description: Will Dormann has reported some vulnerabilities in SoftArtisans XFile, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors within the "BuildPath()", "GetDriveName()", "DriveExists()", and "DeleteFile()" methods provided by the FileManager (SAFmgPws.dll) ActiveX control. These can be exploited to cause stack-based buffer overflows when a user is tricked into visiting a malicious website.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 2.4.0.
