Description: João Antunes has discovered a vulnerability in Softalk Mail Server, which can be exploited by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error when processing specially crafted IMAP commands. This can be exploited to consume large amounts of system resources and crash the service by sending a malicious IMAP command sequence to a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 8.5.1 (Build 431). Other versions may also be affected.
