Description


Two vulnerabilities have been reported in Free PHP VX Guestbook, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.

1) A vulnerability is caused due to improper access restriction in admin/backupdb.php. This can be exploited to download a database backup without valid user credentials.

2) A vulnerability is caused due to improper access restriction. This can be exploited to bypass the authentication mechanism and gain access to the administration section by setting the "admin_name" and "admin_pass" cookies to "1".

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.06. Prior versions may also be affected.
