Pepelux has discovered some vulnerabilities in Crux Gallery, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions and disclose sensitive information.

1) The application does not properly restrict access to administrative pages, which can be exploited to e.g. change certain settings by sending specially crafted requests to a vulnerable application.

2) Input passed to the "theme" parameter in index.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that "register_globals" is enabled and "magic_quotes_gpc" disabled.

These vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.32 (PHP5). Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
Edit the source code to ensure that access to administrative pages is properly restricted and that input is verified.
