Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Tribiq CMS, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks or to disclose sensitive information.
1) Input passed to the "template_path" parameter in templates/mytribiqsite/tribal-GPL-1066/includes/header.inc.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources via directory traversal attacks.
Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled and "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
2) Input passed to the "template_path" parameter in templates/mytribiqsite/tribal-GPL-1066/includes/header.inc.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 5.0.10a and 5.0.12c. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified and sanitised.
