Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Goople CMS, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
1) The application does not properly restrict access to the win/content/upload.php file, which can be exploited to bypass the authentication mechanism and e.g. upload PHP files by setting the "loggedin" cookie.
2) Input passed to the "username" and "password" parameters in gooplecms/admin/account/action/editpass.php is not properly sanitised before being written to the admin/userandpass.php file, which can be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary PHP code.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.7. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised and implement proper access restriction.
