Description

Cyber.Zer0 has discovered some vulnerabilities in RSMScript, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions and by malicious users to perform script insertion attacks.

1) The application allows access to the admin interface by checking if a certain cookie exists. This can be exploited to gain administrative access to the application by creating the cookie "verified" and assigning it any value.

2) Input passed to the "quote" parameter in submit.php and edit-submit.php is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in the context of an affected site when the malicious quote is viewed.

These vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.21. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
Edit the source code to ensure that input properly sanitised.
