Description: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in eDNews, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information or conduct SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed to the "lg" parameter in myConfig.php is not properly verified before it is being used to include files e.g. via eDNews_archive.php. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources via directory traversal attacks.
Successful exploitation with arbitrary file extensions requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
2) Input passed to the "newsid" parameter in eDNews_view.php is not properly sanitised before being used in an SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2. Other versions may also be affected.
