Description:
A security issue and some vulnerabilities have been discovered in QuoteBook, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection and script insertion attacks, and disclose sensitive information.

1) The security issue is caused due to improper access restrictions to the "quotes.inc" include file. This can be exploited to disclose user credentials used to access the MySQL database by requesting the file directly.

Successful exploitation of this security issue requires that ".inc" is not declared as a php suffix.

2) Input passed to the "MyBox" and "selectFavorites" parameters in quotes.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary code.

3) Input passed to the "QuoteName" and "QuoteText" parameters in quotesadd.php (when "addQuote" is set to a non-NULL value) is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary code.

4) Input passed to the "QuoteName" and "QuoteText" parameters in quotesadd.php (when "addQuote" is set to a non-NULL value) is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in the context of an affected site when the malicious quote is viewed.
