A vulnerability has been discovered in FeedDemon, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the processing of OPML files. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by tricking a user into importing an OPML file having e.g. an overly long outline text attribute.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2.7 and 18.104.22.168. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Do not import untrusted OPML files.
