A vulnerability has been reported in Pango, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially compromise an application using the library.
The vulnerability is caused due to an integer overflow error when rendering text with long glyph strings and may be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
Solution:
Update to version 1.24 or later.
