A vulnerability has been reported in WebSphere MQ, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified boundary error and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via a specially crafted client request.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code, but may require valid credentials under certain server configurations.

The vulnerability is reported in 6.x versions prior to 6.0.2.7 and 7.x versions prior to 7.0.1.0.
