Description

Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in AdminLog, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.

1) A vulnerability is caused due to improper access restrictions when accessing the administration interface. This can be exploited to bypass the authentication mechanism and gain access to the administration control panel by e.g. setting the "adminlog_login" cookie to certain values.

2) A vulnerability is caused due to improper access restrictions when accessing the administration interface. This can be exploited to bypass the authentication mechanism and gain access to the administration control panel by e.g. setting the "valid_login" and "loggedInUser" parameters to certain values.

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 0.5. Other versions may also be affected.


Solution
Restrict access to the application (e.g. via ".htaccess").
