Description: A vulnerability has been reported in PEamp, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when parsing the contents of playlist files and can be exploited to cause a BSS segment-based buffer overflow via a playlist file containing an overly long entry.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code, but requires that a user is tricked into opening a malicious playlist file.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.02b. Other versions may also be affected.
