Description:
A vulnerability has been discovered in Photo DVD Maker, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the processing of Photo DVD Maker project files (".pdm"). This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow when opening a ".pdm" file having e.g. an overly long "File_Name" string.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in Photo DVD Maker Professional version 8.02. Other versions may also be affected.
