Description:
Cyber-Zone has discovered a vulnerability in PatPlayer, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when parsing playlist content. This can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted playlist containing an overly long string.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.9. Other version may also be affected.
