Description


A security issue has been reported in the Linux Kernel, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to bypass certain security restrictions.

The security issue is caused due to the PER_CLEAR_ON_SETID mask not containing MMAP_PAGE_ZERO and ADDR_COMPAT_LAYOUT, which potentially can be used to e.g. bypass the mmap_min_addr protection or disable certain ASLR (Address Space Layout Randomization) features.


Solution:
Update to version 2.6.30.2.
