Some vulnerabilities have been reported in LibTIFF, which can be exploited by malicious people to potentially compromise a user's system.

1) An integer overflow error within the "tiffcvt()" function included in the rgb2ycbcr utility can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted TIFF image.

2) An integer overflow error within the "cvt_whole_image()" function included in the tiff2rgba utility can be exploited to cause heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted TIFF image.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 3.8.2. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
Update to version 3.9.4.
