Description: Kingcope has discovered a security issue in NcFTPd Server, which can be exploited by malicious users to bypass certain security restrictions.
The security issue is caused due to insufficient access restrictions when displaying the content of ".message" files. This can be exploited via symlink attacks to read arbitrary files with the privileges of the logged-in user.
The security issue is confirmed in version 2.8.5. Other versions may also be affected.
