Description:
A security issue has been reported in Sun Java System Access Manager, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to disclose sensitive information.

The security issue is caused due to the application storing clear text passwords in debug files if the "com.iplanet.services.debug.level" property is set to "message" in the AMConfig.properties configuration file. This can be exploited to e.g. gain unauthorised access to user identities, which are managed by Sun Java System Access Manager.

The security issue is reported in Sun Java System Access Manager 6 2005Q1, 7 2005Q4, 7.1, and OpenSSO Enterprise 8.0.
