Description:
Le Duc Anh has discovered a vulnerability in ProShow Gold, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing certain overly long entries within PSH files. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted PSH file.

Successful exploitation allows the execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 4.0.2549. Other versions may also be affected.
