Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in CA Host-Based Intrusion Prevention System, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is cause due to an unspecified error in the kmxIds.sys driver and can be exploited to cause a kernel crash via specially crafted packets.

The vulnerability is reported in kmxIds.sys file version prior to 7.3.1.18, as included in CA Host-Based Intrusion Prevention System 8.1.
