A vulnerability has been reported in CA Internet Security Suite, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in vetmonnt.sys in the processing of IOCTL calls and can be exploited to cause a crash via a specially crafted IOCTL call.

The vulnerability is reported in CA Internet Security Suite r3, r4 32 bit, and r5 32 bit.

Solution
Update to the latest version and ensure that automatic update is enabled (please see the vendor advisory for details).
