Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Solaris, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error in the Solaris sendfile(3EXT) and sendfilev(3EXT) extended library functions, which can be exploited to cause a system panic.

The vulnerability is reported in Sun Solaris 8, 9, and 10 for both the SPARC and x86 platform.
