Description:
A vulnerability has been discovered in the Feed Sidebar extension for Firefox, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

Input passed via RSS feeds is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to e.g. execute arbitrary script code within the "chrome:" context and execute arbitrary commands on a user's system.

Successful exploitation requires that a user subscribes to a specially crafted RSS feed.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.1.6. Other versions may also be affected.
