Description:
A vulnerability has been discovered in the WizzRSS extension for Firefox, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed via RSS feeds is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to e.g. execute arbitrary script code within the "chrome:" context and execute arbitrary commands on a user's system.

Successful exploitation requires that a user subscribes to a specially crafted RSS feed.

The vulnerability is confirmed in Wizz RSS News Reader version 3.0.0.3 and reported in Wizz RSS News Reader versions prior to 3.1.0.0 and Wizz RSS News Reader Lite versions prior to 3.0.0.9b.
