Description: Luigi Auriemma has reported two vulnerabilities in Ventrilo Client, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
1) An error in the processing of voice packets can be exploited to cause a client to crash by sending a specially crafted voice packet addressed to the client.
2) An error in the processing of malformed voice packets when the speex codec is used can be exploited to cause a client to crash by sending a specially crafted packet addressed to the client.
Successful exploitation requires user access to the Ventrilo server.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 3.0.5. Other versions may also be affected.
