Description:
Red Hat has issued an update for openssh. This fixes a security issue, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

The security issue is caused due to weakened checks for the directories passed via the "ChrootDirectory" configuration option, which can be exploited to e.g. execute commands as another user.

Successful exploitation requires that the attacker is able to create hardlinks to suid root applications outside the chroot, e.g. via non-chrooted access.
