Description: A security issue has been reported in OpenSAML, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security features.
The security issue is caused due to the library ignoring the "use" tag of the "KeyDescriptor" element, which can be exploited to e.g. use the certificate for both signing and encryption, although the metadata specifies only one of the cases.
The security issue is reported in versions prior to 2.2.1.
