Description

Multiple vulnerabilities and a weakness have been discovered in bloofoxCMS, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially sensitive information, conduct cross-site scripting and cross site request forgery attacks.

1) Input passed via the "search" parameter to index.php (e.g. when "page" is set to "7") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

2) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without making proper validity checks to verify the requests. This can be exploited to e.g. change the credentials of an existing user, if a logged-in administrative user visits a malicious web site.

3) Input passed via the "username" POST parameter and via the "key" parameter to index.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to disclose potentially sensitive information (e.g the tables' prefix) via error messages.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 0.3.5. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
Update to version 0.4.1, which fixes vulnerability #1.
