Description: A security issue has been reported in Quick Heal products, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The problem is caused due to file permissions for the install directory being insecurely set to "Full Control" for "Everyone". This can be exploited to gain escalated privileges by e.g. replacing application binaries.
The security issue is confirmed in Quick Heal AntiVirus Plus 2009 version 10.00 SP1 and Quick Heal Total Security 2009 version 10.00 SP1. Other versions may also be affected.
