Description: Fedora has issued an update for the kernel. This fixes a security issue and a vulnerability, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to disclose certain system information and potentially gain escalated privileges.
1) A security issue exists due to the kernel not properly clearing certain 64bit registers before returning to a 32bit process
For more information:
SA36927
2) An error within the "ecryptfs_unlink()" function in fs/ecryptfs/inode.c can be exploited to cause a NULL pointer dereference by performing certain file operations on an eCryptfs mount.
