Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Perl, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error when processing strings containing certain UTF-8 characters within regular expressions, which can be exploited to crash the interpreter.

The vulnerability is reported in version 5.10.1. Other versions may also be affected.
