Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Bftpd, which potentially can be exploited by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to the "bftpdutmp_log()" function in bftpdutmp.c not properly NULL-terminating the ut.bu_host member and can potentially be exploited to cause a crash.

Successful exploitation may require that the "RESOLVE_CLIENT_IP" option is set to "yes".

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 2.4.
