Description:
Two vulnerabilities have been discovered in Serv-U, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

1) A boundary error in the web administration interface when parsing session cookies can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by sending an HTTP request containing a specially crafted cookie to the server.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

2) A boundary error exists in a function when decoding a hexadecimal representation of a string using the TEA decoding algorithm. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by passing an overly long string.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 9.0.0.5. Other versions may also be affected.
