Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Plohni Shoutbox, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks.
Input passed to the "input_name" and "input_text" parameters in index.php is not sanitised before being displayed to the user. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious message is viewed.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.0. Other versions may also be vulnerable.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
