Description

A security issue has been reported in FreeBSD, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to disclose potentially sensitive information.

The security issue is caused due to the freebsd-update utility not properly restricting read access to it's working directory (/var/db/freebsd-update by default), which can be exploited to e.g. access a backup of the master password file.

Solution
Update FreeBSD or apply patch.
