Description


Some vulnerabilities have been reported in VMware VirtualCenter, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct disclose sensitive information, bypass certain security restrictions, cause a DoS (Denial of Service), or compromise a user's system, and by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.

1) Multiple errors in JRE can be exploited to potentially disclose sensitive information, bypass certain security restrictions, cause a DoS (Denial of Service), or compromise a user's system.

2) An input sanitation error in WebAccess can be exploited to redirect web requests to servers in the same network and disclose certain sensitive data, by tricking a user into following a specially crafted link.

3) Input passed via virtual machine names to WebAccess is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is viewed.
