Description

A security issue has been reported in cronie, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to perform certain actions with escalated privileges.

The security issue is caused due to a race condition within crontab when setting mtime and atime values to a temporary file, which can be exploited to reset the mtime and atime values of arbitrary files via symlink attacks.

The security issue is reported in versions prior to 1.4.4.

Update to version 1.4.4.
