Description


A vulnerability has been reported in Novell eDirectory, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct hijacking attacks.

The vulnerability is caused due to the DHost web service generating a predictable session cookie when identifying logged in administrators. This can be exploited to impersonate the currently logged in administrator by predicting cookie values.

The vulnerability is reported in version 8.8.5. Other versions may also be affected.


Solution:
Update to version 8.8 SP5 Patch 4.
