Description

Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in osDate, which can be exploited by malicious users and malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

1) Input passed to the "config[forum_installed]" parameter in forum/adminLogin.php and forum/userLogin.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local or external resources.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled and "register_globals" is enabled.

2) The uploadvideos.php script allows upload of files with arbitrary extensions to a folder inside the web root. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary PHP code by uploading a PHP file.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires "Allow video uploads" permissions.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.5.4. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified. Restrict access to the "temp/uservideos/" directory (e.g. via .htaccess).
