A vulnerability has been reported in ikiwiki, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks.
The htmlscrubber plugin allows "data:image/svg+xml" URIs, which can contain script code. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is viewed.
Solution: Update to version 3.20100312. Reportedly, a fix was also backported to Debian etch, as version 2.53.5.
Provided and/or discovered by: The vendor credits Ivan Shmakov.
