Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Transmission, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors within the "tr_magnetParse()" function in libtransmission/magnet.c, which can be exploited to cause stack-based buffer overflows by e.g. tricking a user into following a specially crafted magnet URL.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.91. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 1.92.
Provided and/or discovered by: Reported by pjz in a Transmission bug report.
